My First Year In High School

Looking back at my 1st year, I had a pretty amazing experience in Saipan Southern High School. First off, I started out as a nobody in school, so did the other Freshmen feeling anxious and nervous. So listen up new Freshmen, next year if you're coming to SSHS or another school, here are sme tips to get you started on the way. During my first day in my high school, I was myself because everyone does not know you yet, since most of the students walking around are Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors. If you have trouble in your first day, just go straight to class and wait till the bell rings to avoid shameness and shyness. Don't worry about people looking and talking about you because it's either they want to be friends with you or racisism. One more thing, don't worry about friends too, in time you'll have tons of them later in your first sumester of the year.

So now Freshmen, lets talk about the classes you take. First of all say bye bye to homerooms because we don't have to waste time with that. In all high schools each student has his/her own schedule with their own list of classes to go to. It's not like you see that individual every class you take, your more likely to find students in different grade levels in your class and the fun part of that, you meet new people to become friends with. Mostly Freshmen now a days fail there classes and they have to take them again. Another thing, don't be a super Senior, who is over 20 and still be in high school, so Freshmen don't screw up your first year.

All I can tell you left is what we do during breaktime, which is 30 minutes, lunchbreak- an hour, and after school. Well if you have no where else to go during you're break, you can go to the library where you can do your work or find a new friend. In my lunchbreak, I stay in the cafeteria with my friends. After school, we have buses to drop off where you live or to drop you to school in the morning. In after school in my first day, I talked about my new school alot and I started to become more confident. I hope you Freshmen will follow my tips for surviving high school, so good luck next year!
