Power Rates and the Economy

Every month gets worse with the gas prices going up as well as the food, electric bills rising, and fewer tourists ruining the economy! I think it's dumb that they raise everything up, but we have no choice but to pay up. The power rates are insanely off the charts, in my opinion we won't have enough money for ourselves and freedom here isn't the same as before when this crisis happened. The economy isn't the same either, once we had a Hollywood Movie Theater and they closed it down because not much people coming in lately and the power bill is too high.

I've thought not only these things, come to think of it, some Koreans think that they can open up new stores and companies in our island to make the economy better but they're wrong. It's plain common sense, people can't just go there with very little money. Sooner or later most of the new, opened up companies and stores will close down. Doing more of these is just a waste of valuable money. Still, everyday we go on what we do for a living like working without a raise with the minimum wage rate, some people steal now a days, especially the teenagers, and budget on our money for our families.

It's also kind of sad that some people have to put their jewelry box to pay for their bills and to live without power for months. The cause for the power rates to go high is the gas and oil price. In our island we use generators for electricity. Since the price of gas went up to $4.44 a gallon,
not much people go around and for the first time, most of the citizens are thinking smarter of conserving their power. Unfortunately for us, we do not have another alternative for power unlike other places they have windmills, hydro currency, and solar energy.

If you come to our island, which is Saipan by the way, the first thing you see is the scenery of the land. But you have no idea what really happen in the island. Just say that you'll have a vacation here, and decided to rent a hotel room. Finally you went out to explore and rent a car with little gas, and then when you reach the gas station, you'll see for yourself how expensive the gas is and the same goes for most of the stores, food prices are much higher than usual. So now you know about our economy, in this generation we live in a world with low fossil fuels and economy disasters. The question is, will this continue?
